VOLUNTEER GRANTS 2024-25

Local community groups located in the Perth Federal Electorate are eligible for federal funding to support their local volunteers.

Please note: the electoral boundaries were changed at the last election. Please review the new boundaries of the Federal Division of Perth here.

The grants are available to not-for-profit community organisations and range from $1,000 to $5,000.

The funding is available in two catergories:

Category 1, all eligible community organisations will be able to purchase items that will benefit any of a community organisation’s volunteers.

Category 2, community organisations will be able to purchase items or services for the main purpose of supporting children’s development and wellbeing.

Please see Grant Opportunity Guidelines for a detailed list of eligible expenditure.

Expression of interest submissions close 5pm, Friday, 3 January.

FURTHER INFORMATION

All EOIs will be assessed by an independent panel, the Perth Electorate Community Consultative Committee. The Committee will then make nominations to the Department of Social Services, these organisations will then be invited to apply for a Volunteer Grant directly to the Department.

Please be aware that if your organisation is nominated to apply for a Volunteer Grant, some or all of this information will be shared to the Department of Social Services.

Note: If your organisation is an unincorporated association, a person connected to your organisation will be required to assume legal liability. The person will be legally liable for the delivery of the funding activity, expenditure of funds and any other associated obligations arising from the grant agreement.
