Albanese Labor Government to invest in the Bassen-dream - MEDIA RELEASE
An Albanese Labor Government will support Bassendean’s vision for the future, investing in the Swan Districts Football Club by upgrading the lights at Bassendean Oval.
This $200,000 commitment will mean the club can expand its offerings of games across the WAFL, women’s competitions and other matches to play under lights.
The funding, from the Light Up Perth program will ensure the sustainability of local football and other sports in the Perth community.
A Federal Labor Government will also fund the construction of a playground near Bassendean’s town centre to support local families.
The Light Up Perth program will also fund $200,000 in the City of Perth, including $150,000 to upgrade lighting along the Roe Street Footbridge, as well as $200,000 to upgrade Bayswater’s street lighting network to more energy efficient LEDs.
