MEDIA RELEASE - JOONDANNA RESERVE UPGRADE FUNDED BY FEDERAL LABOR

A reserve in the heart of Joondanna will receive $500,000 under an Albanese Labor Government.

The funding commitment will see Joondanna Reserve upgraded, with new play equipment, footpath connections, toilet block and park furniture.

The upgrade will see the popular reserve reach its full potential and meet the expectations of the community.

A Federal Labor Government will work with the City of Stirling to deliver this project.

Federal Labor Member for Perth Patrick Gorman said: “Over the past two years, our community has come to appreciate the need for amenities closer to home. As a local dad, I know parks such as Joondanna Reserve make a huge difference for families who live in the Perth community.”

“Ensuring our children have places to play outside safely and close to home is important to all families.”

“This upgrade will mean this reserve will meet the expectations of the local community, who are regular users of this park.

“An Albanese Labor Government will be partner Western Australians need in Canberra – working with State and local governments to deliver projects such as the Joondanna Reserve upgrade.”
